I've been leading my clan for about 4 months now, taking over from the original clan leader whos job went to second shift. We have a very wide mix of players from an age perspective and capability. I've felt compelled to remove about 3 players from the clan in the last couple of months because the dialog in clan chat was either pornographic, homophobic, or borderline/very toxic. Each of the three that I've removed from the clan I've given 2 warnings to before their actual removal. I think to myself that if that is what they choose to put in clan chat, imagine what they say in game. I feel like it's my responsibility to make the clan at least somewhere that all members feel comfortable coming into every day. I've explained to the rest of the clan the reasoning behind the decision.
I guess I'm asking for advice on how other clan leads deal with toxic chat like this and how to maintain clan moral when having to keep a standard of civility in the game.
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
